On Sunday, August 14th, 2016 there was a fatal car accident on Gessner and Westheimer in West Houston, Texas. The accident is believed to have been caused by a driver that was under the influence. At approximately 3 a.m. a man was heading northbound on Gessner and lost control. The vehicle hit a water main and a street sign. The impact caused the read driver’s side door to be ripped off. A passenger that was sitting in the back seat was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. If the driver is found to be at fault for the accident they could face vehicle manslaughter charges.
