Houston Police Department (HPD) SUV and Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center Van Car Crash

On Monday, October 3rd, 2016 a Houston Police Department (HPD) SUV and a Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center van got into a wreck in southwest Houston. The crash happened around 6 am on Holmes Road in Fannin.

There were four people in the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center van when the accident occurred. All four were taken to a nearby hospital with non life threatening injuries. At this time, we do not know if the officer driving the HPD SUV was on a call.

From the video and photos it is visible the Houston Police Department SUV had severe damage to the front end of the vehicle. It looks as if the engine caught on fire and the entire grill was ripped off in the accident. From first glance, this type of vehicle looks like a Chevrolet Tahoe or Suburban.
